All eyes on Kigali as GACOPA fever hits East Africa

The Global Association of Clinical Officers and Physician Associates is preparing for it’s 2nd mega meeting

The international delegates and scientific conference is set for March 5-7 in the Rwanda capital of Kigali

More than 600 Physician Assistants ,Clinical Officers and analogues together with politicians ,scientists and scholars will attend the event whose theme is the impact of COs and PAs in achieving Universal Health Coverage

Prior to the big event ,the Kenya chapter of the giant association will be launched on 30th November at a Nairobi Hotel .

This mini event will also see the Association present to the Government the citation of honour for their role and participation in their maiden international conference early this year in Accra ,Ghana

Already Malawi ,Ghana ,Uganda ,Liberia ,Sierra Leone ,Rwanda and South Africa had presented theirs

The Association’s growth and popularity is increasingly being strengthened with the entry of several countries including Papua New Guinea ,Bangladesh ,Pakistan ,India and Malaysia

Speaking to this site ,GACOPA organising Secretary (International) Mr Chris Onditi said they are very much optimistic of staging one of the colourful events in the history of COs and PAs and that preparations are in top gear

Registration and opening up of the registration process for the 2nd International conference for GACOPA will officially kick off on 1st November
