Most valuable Clinical Officer to be feted in Zanzibar – GACOPA President says

The Global association of Clinical officers and Physician associates – East African Chapter together with the Ministry of Health Zanzibar , Zanzibar School  of Health are partnering  to stage East Africa’s inaugural Clinical officers Conference .

A series of awards are lined up ahead of this mega event with the outstanding Clinical Officer for the region being awarded in a short ceremony that will be presided over by Zanzibar Health Minister  .

We will make it juicy and it will go down into the history books for east African Clinical Officers – GACOPA President Austin Oduor was quoted saying

The event which will take place in Zanzibar between March 3-4 will see the regions most valuable /Outstanding Clinical Officer awarded .

The  final list of  5 nominees for this position will be announced  before the end  of the year with guidelines on nominations to be  provided by the Awards and Scientific committee of the conference .

CRITERIA

-Submit applications  prior to the deadline of January 15th 2023. Late entries will NOT be considered

-Your narrative should contain complete , concise information to support the nomination

-The selection committee will be composed of the Clinical Medicine Excellence  Committees - All nominations will be blinded to avoid possible bias

1-The Most Valuable Clinical Officer of the region 

2-Country Outstanding Clinical Officers award  for Kenya , Uganda , Tanzania , Rwanda , Burundi, South Sudan , DRC and Somaliland

3-Leadership and Management – Recognising excellence in Clinical Medicine  leadership and Management

4-Ethics and Human rights Award – Recognising excellence in ethic and human rights

5-Researcher award – Recognising excellence in Clinical Medicine  research  addresses practice issues

6-The GACOPA Presidents award  – The  President of GACOPA will  submit his preferred nominee to the committee 

This awards will be based on Clinical Officers achievements and impact in the community and at the health facilities .The award winners will be honoured  by their colleagues at luncheon /ceremony during the 1st East Africa Regional Conference for Clinical Officers  on Saturday March 4th  at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA)
