As part of our Southern Africa engagement tour, GACOPA has successfully met with the Parliament of Zimbabwe Health Portfolio in a landmark discussion to advance the legal recognition and regulation of Clinical Officers.

A motion will be introduced in Parliament to anchor Clinical Officers in the Health Act.

Zimbabwe will send a delegation to Kenya for benchmarking on Clinical Officer training, regulation, and policies.

Boitekanelo College of Health Sciences (Botswana), led by Dr. Tiro Mampane, is eager to invest in Clinical Officer training in Zimbabwe.

Parliament welcomed GACOPAβs invitation to the 5th GACOPA International Conference in Birmingham, UK (August 27-30, 2025) and the 2nd East Africa Clinical Officers Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (April 27-29, 2025).
